I really hope this new projection is more accurate than the last. This is an incredibly hard thing to guess and estimate, but it seems we're starting to get on the right track. Obviously we're not quite there yet, but we're moving in the right direction.
Remember that this represents just one sector, albeit a big one, and that preventing catastrophe may require reducing emissions to zero or below. But yes, it is at least below what we had reason to fear.
